Search Engine Visibility Vs Web (Internet) Visibility

, Yeah there are two similar sounding but separate terms search engine visibility & internet visibility, however both the terms can be correlated as search engine visibility in almost cases is directly proportional to the quality internet or web visibility.

Now what actually we are talking about the visibility term, which is the web presence or search engine presence of your website or web page. Having your web page appearing on others websites or web pages as well as social sites, article sites, weblogs, bookmarks, etc. (search engines visibility can also be taken as part of overall web presence), this can be considered as the web visibility or internet visibility. Whereas when we talk about the search engine visibility it is the appearance of your website or web pages on various search engines with particular search queries. Basically the search engine visibility is of two types : (1) Non Paid (Organic visibility) and the other is (2) Paid (Sponsored search results). We will talk later on another post for Paid listings or sponsored search visibility for which one has to pay to the search engine company to appear on search engine results pages (SERPs). Here we will talk about the organic search engine visibility only that is non paid and one don’t need to pay. (There are some more differences between Organic and paid visibility on search engines, which we will discuss later as I’ve already said on another post).

As I said SE visibility is directly proportional to the internet visibility, you can consider search engine visibility as the subset of the world wide web visibility or internet visibility.
